Install
curl -fsSL https://hermes-agent.nousresearch.com/install.sh | bashIt installs to ~/.local/bin/hermes and brings its own Python.
Sign in
Hermes is set up by choosing its provider and model:
hermes modelHermes has no sign-in check Sikemux can ask, so Sikemux marks it signed out only when a chat is refused for want of a sign-in. The chat then offers Sign in to Hermes.
How Sikemux runs it
A chat runs hermes acp. Hermes lists its models with the session, and the chat’s model picker shows them.
Hermes runs in a private home that Sikemux prepares for it. That’s how it gets the Sikemux skills library and the check that stops sweeping git commands in a shared checkout, without anything being written to your own Hermes folders.
